Face Shapes - Square

Our next face shape is square.  Should you have this shaped face then consider yourself lucky, some of the most faces in the past and present have a strong, angular jawline.

If a stylist suggests a cut which is above your jaw then go elsewhere, this will only exaggerate the squareness of your face.  If you have fine hair then a long poker straight bob will really flatter your wide jaw.  If its curly hair you have, textured layers around your face will soften your strong features.

You can wear a layered bob, however it should end below the jaw line. Make sure in styling that you achieve some roundness to the shape and some height at the crown or fringe, and you will be on the right track.




Centre partings will work with your symmetrical face and align your jaw.



Classic loose buns will allow hair to fall around your face making its shape look less masculine.

Face Shape series. Oval face shape

There are 6 main face shapes, round, square, long, heart, diamond or oval.
If you have an oval face shape the length of your face equals 1 1/2 times the width of your face.
Oval is the most versatile face shape, you can wear almost any hairstyle.

You can go short, long, straight or wavy, or even a more funky edgy hairstyle. To find your most flattering style, consider your best feature and highlight it with your haircut. 

If you have gorgeous bone structure consider an angular bob that shows off your chin. 

If your eyes are your best feature face framing layers or a side swept fringe is your best bet! 

There are a few minor styles you can avoid with an oval face shape, like short layers that add too much height to the top of your head. These may make your face appear longer. If your hair is thick or curly avoid a blunt cut, go for something soft with texture that is soft around the face. If you have naturally curly hair with an oval face shape, it is best to keep your length below the shoulders.

Hemera Dreads

Our Hemera Dreads have proved to be a popular hit this summer!
They are the perfect summer hair accessory and a really cool way to jazz up your style for a festival.
Our dreads don't require any long term commitment as they can simply be clipped in and out of your hair, on the same clips you would find on regular hair extension.
They are hand made by the girls in Hemera, and we custom make them to suit each customer, you can pick your colours, the length, the accessories etc..

Our most popular sets are our boho sets which consist of 8 dreads and 2 braids. They range between €80-€90 depending on accessories. You can of course custom make an order if you wish to have more or less dreads, prices upon consultation for custom made sets.

Once you order your custom made dreads we make them as soon as we can post them out to you so you should have them within 7 days after ordering, postage is free of charge.
We take orders  for the dreads via our Facebook page. So you PM us on Facebook and a member of the team will have a consultation with you and take your order.
